We work to develop the impact investing ecosystem in Malaysia. We provide research and tools to support investors, policy makers and regulators. For impact-driven business owners and social entrepreneurs, we provide capacity-building programmes to amplify their business and impact.

The following shows our upcoming capacity-building programmes to close the impact investing gap in Malaysia:

Selling For Impact

Build a network of B2B impact-driven businesses, assess their needs and support them in their supplier journey to unlock partnerships with corporate buyers

Duration:

12 months (annually)

Targeted Outcome:

Enhanced impact-driven businesses that are able to capture both local and international social procurement opportunities, ultimately strengthening their revenue stream through corporate sales.

Fundraising For Impact

To create impact-driven enterprises that are able to access the right types of capital aligned with their impact and long-term strategies.

Duration:

12 months (annually)

Targeted Outcome:

Bridging the gap between impact-driven enterprises and capital (investment/philanthropic) ensuring that impact-driven enterprises are well-positioned to attract the capital they need to grow and amplify their impact + business.

Impact-First Innovative Fund

To design an impact-first fund for Malaysia that aligns impact-driven enterprises and impact-first investors.

Duration:

24 months: initial setup of the fund Deployment will begin during post setup of the fund.

Targeted Outcome:

An alternative funding model tapping into impact-first investors to meet the capital needs of impact-driven enterprises to grow their business and impact in tandem.

Ongoing Programmes:

The State of Impact in Malaysia: a joint research project with Hive and Partners to study the ecosystem of impact-driven capital in Malaysia
Malaysia Social Procurement Initiative: a collaboration between MYImpact and Yunus Social Business (YSB) to build a network of business-to-business (B2B) social enterprises by assessing their needs and supporting them in their supplier journey to unlock partnerships with corporate buyers.
Triple I for Global Health: an initiative to raise awareness and share best practices on impact investment in global health.
Accelerator contributions to Malaysia’s impact economy: a joint research project with Brunel University, London.
